Public Transport Facilities at Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport maintains comprehensive public transport offerings that include buses, airport shuttles, taxis and hire cars. The most convenient way to get to and from the airport is by car, given the extensive on-site parking facilities and easy access from the city centre via the M1 motorway.

Taxis are particularly convenient – though they’re also notoriously expensive in Dublin. Drivers can transport passengers anywhere within a 30-km radius of the airport. Luxury vehicles with chauffeurs are also available at the terminal.

The network of buses serving Dublin offers comprehensive access to the city. This is the most affordable mode of connecting onward from the airport, though it also requires patience and may not be suitable for travellers with luggage. Airport Shuttles split the difference in this department, offering speedy transit from the airport to important districts in the city centre.

Bear in mind that there are no railway links with direct access to the airport. However, taxis and buses can easily connect passengers from the terminal to any of the major railway stations in Dublin.
